Welcome to the Town of Black Mountain

Mayor Michael SobolOn behalf of the Board of Aldermen and the citizens of Black Mountain I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to your virtual visit to the Town of Black Mountain, North Carolina.

As citizens of Black Mountain, we are very proud of the unique qualities that make our community such a special place. Our small town atmosphere, beautiful mountains, pure water, and clean air attract hundreds to our valley every year. Our merchants offer a diversity of shopping alternatives on a year-round basis. This, along with our excellent recreational facilities, varied housing, good government, and, most importantly, fine neighbors are just a few of the many qualities that newcomers find attractive in Black Mountain.

We invite you to browse through our website in order to get a better flavor for our community. We think that once you have had a chance to learn a little more about the community, and the services that the Town provides to/with its citizens, that you will agree with us that Black Mountain truly is one of the most special places in the world in which to live and work. Come spend some time with us on your next trip to western North Carolina.
