Town Manager Search

NOTICE OF POSITION VACANCY

The Town of Black Mountain is currently accepting applications for the position of Town Manager. 

Town Manager, Town of Black Mountain, North Carolina (pop 8,125), a beautiful and growing community located 15 miles east of Asheville. The Town is seeking an innovative municipal executive with growth management and community development experience to work within the Council-Manager form of government, partnering with staff, community and Board alike to lead the Town in carrying out key initiatives and managing the day to day business of the Town. The Town has an $11.2 million operating budget with 84 full time employees and 92 seasonal part time employees. An MPA and familiarity with NC municipal management is preferred. Hiring range is $102,000-120,000 with compensation negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
