The Board of Alcoholic Control is responsible for the oversight of the Town's Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Board. In North Carolina each locally controlled ABC system must have a citizen appointed board to oversee the operations of the State controlled liquor distribution system. The Black Mountain ABC Board is vested with the same powers and duties as every other ABC Board in the State. These powers and duties are outlined in North Carolina General Statute 18-45. All actions are subject to the review and oversight of the State Board of Alcoholic Control. The Black Mountain ABC Board consists of three members.
