In that role one of the key functions is to provide support to the Board of Aldermen as they set policy and direction for the Town. The goal of the Department of Administration is to provide citizens and visitors to the area quality customer service and cost effective, innovative problem solving. We strive to be proficient, professional and cordial in the delivery of this service while always keeping in mind that customer satisfaction is a key indicator of success in achieving our goals. The Administration Department, which is housed in the Black Mountain Town Hall, delivers service through two divisions that are funded independently but operate as one cohesive unit. In addition, the office of the Town Manager is housed within the Town Hall and conducts business through this department. The two divisions are General Administration and Water Administration. The employees in both divisions carry individual job titles designed to reflect the duties of their positions, but in reality their greatest contribution to the organization is to act as our primary customer relations experts.
