Priority Projects

Below is a list of projects that the Greenways Commission is currently working on. Check back soon for updates and more news!

· Flat Creek Trail Phase II to Montreat

This is the last section of the Black Mountain greenway network before reaching the Montreat Gate. It will extend north an additional .4 miles from the current end of the Flat Creek trail at Cotton Avenue.

· Lake Tomahawk Spur

The Lake Tomahawk Spur is one of the most important sections of the greenway system, as it will connect two major recreational areas: Black Mountain Recreation Park and Lake Tomahawk.

Ridgecrest Trail

This trail will like Black Mountain to the community of Ridgecrest and the Ridgecrest Loop trail.
