Attend
Greenways Meetings:
The Greenway Commission meets the
third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm at Carver Center 101 Carver Avenue. These meetings are open to
the public.
Adopt-a-Trail:
We are currently working on an
Adopt-a-Trail program that would allow groups to “adopt” a path or
section of greenway to maintain and make beautiful. If you are
interested in participating, please contact the Recreation and Parks
Department (828) 419-9300.
Make a
Donation:
Although the Town of Black
Mountain allocates some funds to the Greenways Commission, building
a greenway is an expensive process and additional donations are
needed to help fund current projects. You can consider making a
monetary donation, offering a land easement to encourage a greenway
along your property, or organizing a fundraiser to support Black
Mountain Greenways.
Tax deductible donations
can be made to support Greenway projects in Black Mountain through
the Black Mountain Parks and Greenways Foundation. Click
here to make a donation online.
If you prefer to make a donation
by check, be sure to indicate “Greenways Commission” in the memo
field of the check. Donations may be sent to:
