Attend
Greenways Meetings:
The Greenway Commission meets the
third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm at Town Hall, 160 Midland
Avenue. These meetings are open to
the public.
Adopt-a-Trail:
We are currently working on an
Adopt-a-Trail program that would allow groups to “adopt” a path or
section of greenway to maintain and make beautiful. If you are
interested in participating, please contact the Recreation and Parks
Department (828) 419-9300.
Make a
Donation:
Although the Town of Black
Mountain allocates some funds to the Greenways Commission, building
a greenway is an expensive process and additional donations are
needed to help fund current projects. You can consider making a
monetary donation, offering a land easement to encourage a greenway
along your property, or organizing a fundraiser to support Black
Mountain Greenways.
Schedule a
Presentation:
To schedule a PowerPoint presentation about the Greenway System for
your group or organization contact Katie Towner below.
