Public Services Tech II
The Town of Black Mountain is currently accepting
applications for a Public Services Tech II. Must be able to operate
medium to large motorized equipment to include the following types
of equipment: backhoe, track hoe, dump truck, motor grader,
skid-steer loader, tractors, industrial lawn mowers and elevating
boom truck. Ability to handle manual or motorized
as rakes, shovels, hammers, diamond saws, chain saws, blowers, weed
eaters and hedge trimmers, etc. Must be willing to work outdoors in
all types of weather to include emergency operations such as snow
storms, floods, etc. Knowledge of and experience in streets
maintenance (asphalt, mowing, tree trimming, storm drains, ditching,
traffic control signage) and water system maintenance and repairs
highly desirable. Carpentry skills desirable.
Must possess a
valid NC driverís license. Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL)

The Town of Black Mountain is currently accepting applications
for the position of Reserve Police Officer.
Applicants must possess a North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement
Certificate, valid North Carolina driverís license, and
successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal
