The Support Services Commander manages the Communications Division, Criminal Investigations Division and the Auxiliary Police Officer Program. The commander also oversees the recruitment and hiring process, communications equipment, and records.
The Support Services Commander is Lt. Joe Kidd.
Support Services also manages the department's patrol fleet and equipment such as radios, mobile data terminals and officer's duty issued equipment. Support Services is responsible for the recruitment and hiring of all Police Department personnel to include Police Officers and Communications staff. Supports Services also is responsible for the logistic needs of the department as well as oversight of real property including Police Department Headquarters.
