Donate or Volunteer
Thank you for your support of the Black Mountain Volunteer Firefighters Association, the official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of the Town of Black Mountain Fire Department. Your donation is tax deductible to the full extent provided by law.
Your donations help us maintain and preserve current apparatus, replace outdated firefighting equipment, and helps pay for advanced training for our members. Your tax deductible donations make a difference
For our residents, the obvious advantage of having a volunteer fire fighters supporting our paid staff is the thousands of dollars saved on salaries, benefits and pension liabilities. It also brings some other pretty amazing benefits. At a time in your life, when you are the most vulnerable, those who come to assist are your friends and neighbors. Whether it is something as straight forward as a carbon monoxide detector beeping in the middle of the night, or a fully involved structure fire, we respond… because you are members of our community.
Training:
We are always in need of vehicles to train with for fires, extrication, and other vehicle accidents. If you have a vehicle that is no longer usable to you, consider donating it to the fire department for a tax deduction of standard book value.
Are you tearing down your home to build a new one? The fire department would love to have the opportunity to use the home before it’s torn down to use for training. There is a tax deduction benefit for this.
