Black Mountain Recreation’s focus is to enhance quality of life through recreational opportunities for adults. There are a wide range of recreational and leisure activities to meet a variety of interests and skill levels. Adult programs and leagues through Black Mountain Recreation are here to help adults of all ages to seek opportunities to learn new skills, pursue a special interest and interact with others.
Registration will begin in November and run through January. Games will begin at the end of January and run through the middle of April. You must be at least 18 years of age to play. Games are played on Sundays.
This Spring, two hikes will be offered; one on March 14, 2020 and another on April 11, 2020. Both hikes will take place in Ridgecrest and will be for intermediate skill level hikers who are able to hike between 5-10 miles in one day. Participates must be at least 12 years old or accompanied by a guardian if under the age of 18. All participants will meet on the morning of the hike and ride together to Ridgecrest in the Black Mountain Recreation & Parks bus. Participates will be expected to bring their own hiking gear, water, and food. Limited spaces will be available for this program and will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
