Have an upcoming event that takes place on town property? If so, make sure to obtain a special event permit from the Town of Black Mountain. Special event permit applications are available below or can be picked up at the Recreation and Parks offices located at 304 Black Mountain Avenue. Applications for a special event permit must be completed no less than 45 business days prior to the proposed event. You may obtain the outdoor special event permit application below.
In order to fish at Lake Tomahawk, adults need to have a valid North Carolina fishing license. Kids under the age of 14 do not need a license, but must be accompanied by a licensed adult. Fishing licenses can be obtained online through NC Wildlife.
